The magnificent atrium of the DZ Bank, Berlin. This centrepiece is the work of architect Frank Gehry, famous for designing countless landmark buildings around the world in his unique style of deconstructivism.
A 'wide and low' take of The Lloyds Building (includes the Willis Building to the left) on Lime Street, home of the insurance underwriters in the heart of the financial district.
Captured in the early dawn light, the Science Museum with its mass of tangled ribs and teeth reflecting nicely in the still water.
Another neck wrenching shot between the high risers at 'More London'.
This is 'Number One London Bridge', a prestigious address apparently, but more to the point a great building to photograph. There's sharp symmetry to play with here and also some reflected reflections going on, which creates a quite confusing picture that's challenging to figure out at first.....well it is for me anyway.
Another neck wrenching 'straight up the middle' shot between the high risers at 'More London'. Passenger planes are passing over here at the rate of about one every three minutes so I didn't have to wait too long to get what I came for.
A fiery sunrise and stunning reflections at the Assut de l'Or Bridge. An almost surreal floating cityscape?
Batmans headquarters situated in the 'More London' area. I was politely asked to desist from photographing here by a large security guard.... which only confirmed my suspicions. Why else would they ask me to leave?
The Assut de l'Or Bridge with its dramatic span across the sky at sunrise, the egg shaped Agora building sits directly behind.
City of Arts & Sciences, Valencia, Spain. Head spinning night reflections from under the dual flyover that dissects the west end of the complex.
Daybreak at the 'More London' development on the Southbank of the Thames.
Dawn at the Assut de L'or Bridge, Valencia.
View across the amazing eye ball structure that is the 'Hemispheric'.

The futuristic interior of L'Hemisferic, Valencia. Annoying security guard just out of frame ;-)
Another example of the Calatrava genius, combining line and form to create a wonderfully surreal setting. City of Arts & Sciences, Valencia.

The Assut de l'Or Bridge. Captured at the break of dawn while the night lights were still on and the pools were like glass, giving off mirror like reflections.

The towering monster in the background on the right is the controversial 'Walkie Talkie' building (it looks vaguely like a huge two way radio) which hit the news headlines recently for melting expensive German cars, scorching neighbouring buildings and setting fire to mens beards. This fiery outrage was a result of reflected sun rays from its top heavy concave surface, it's since been renamed locally as the 'Walkie Scorchie! Just be careful if you're in the Leadenhall area on a summers day.
Even the lifts don't escape the sci-fi treatment at the City of Arts & Sciences, Valencia.
I leaned in hard against the wall of the brick building (that you can see in the top of the picture) for this one, nearly strained my neck getting the angle of the camera just right but I like the way it turned out. London, UK.
The Palau de les Arts from ground level, looking like it's about to blast off into space.
The 'Hemisferic' in all it's illuminated glory, an amazing sight at nightime when the dazzling lights and reflections combine to create this sci-fi centrepiece.

The weird and wonderful City Hall Building caught in the early morning sunshine. The building is referred to by various names: The Melted Egg, The Onion, The Woodlouse, and my favourite....The Glass Gonad!

L'Hemisfèric at Dusk.
A late night view of the illuminations at The City of Arts & Sciences.
A late night view across the 'Assut de l'Or’ bridge with the Agora building to the left. The bridge is an impressive structure with its steel support struts anchored to gigantic concrete feet, the shadows on the nearest foot created a quite dainty looking ballet type shoe.....nice!

The impressive Palau de les Arts. It's difficult to capture the enormous scale and presence of this building, looking like a gigantic space ship sat on its keyhole landing pad, it totally dominates it's surroundings and is very much the head of the family.
'The Gherkin' - 30 St. Mary Axe, London
The Science Museum illuminated beautifully against the early Dawn sky.
